These numbers may or may not be accurate. They've been pieced together from various figures and percentages on the Internet. It's probably close enough for amateur analysis and web discussion. |

| PS2 sales for June??
Why on earth did sales double into that month?
I bought a new PS2+ Broadband Package a while back. But that couldn't have been as recent as June, perhaps Febuary?
Crazy. I just don't see what could have driven sales during that month? ...could it have been the publicity over PSP??? Perhaps. |
| | | The sales doubling is due to the price drop in mid-May. Sony announced that in June. The April sales surge for Xbox was also due to a price drop. Although, some might claim that a "montage" of low-priced Xbox software is responsible.

| | | | I always said thats what it would take for Xbox to outsell the PS2 - "WE'RE GONNA NEED A MONTAGE!" |
| | | | June must have been a slow month for Aibo sales. Thats the only way to explain the spike in sales for PS2. |

| | I find it interesting how GameCube outsells Xbox during the holidays, but not during the rest of the year. |

| Hmm I wonder if this lead that the xbox has now, will play in its favour for the forthcoming XBOX2, they are building a nice userbase to gain new users from, and the progressional growth is showing that people are trying to get in on the best online experience offered in the console world.
I am still very suprised that sony are shifting this many consoles this late in the game. I wonder when people will stop. One question, are the sales of the PS2 shown that of the Original PS2, or the PS2 SMALL? |

| Xbox's sales lead over Christmas can be explained by 2 things:
1. Halo 2, the most hyped game ever.
2. The market is probably getting close to saturated with PS2s, what with 80 million of them out there worldwide, and what with the graphics looking increasingly dated. |
