| I’ve been messing around with these hacked versions of Windows for a while, I’ve found them to be very useful and fun to play around with.
Now you can get your Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and Server 2003 running streamlined – without the added M$ bloatware – for increased stability, performance, and load times.
The original Windows install discs and your own product key are required.
Of course, in the streamlined state, nothing is installed, so you will need to add your drivers and whatever software you want to use.

Get Windows 95 and Windows 98 installed and running with less than 8 MB of hard drive space. The directions assume lots (and I mean lots) of forehand knowledge about DOS, 95, and 98 operating systems, therefore you may have lots of trouble getting this to work properly. If you don’t know a lot about these operating systems then don’t even try it, unless you have lots of time on your hands. I may create my own documentation later.
With added tools, an 8MB Windows98 install makes for a great boot CD to diagnose system problems. With Norton Ghost, it takes a whoping 3 seconds to format and reinstall Nano98.

This is quite simply the best Windows tool I have ever seen. Use your original Windows 2000, XP, or Server 2003 install disc, along with service packs and security updates, to create your own custom Windows install disc – and strip out Internet Explorer along with the rest of the M$ bloatware – for a very stable, secure, and fast performing operating system. Currently the smallest XP install is around 100 MB, and getting smaller.
Everything is automated in this one, and the directions and application are straightforward and very easy to use. I got it working on my first try without a single hitch. Mucho props to the developers, they created one hell of a tool. If you like it, be sure to donate some cash for their efforts.
Also, be sure to backup your data before trying anything like this (common sense). if you lose all your data, then it really sucks to be you! Also, check the MSFN forums for troubleshooting and frequently asked questions. |
