| Well, not quite yet, I'm drafting on Monday. But still I would like to say goodbye to everybody, and thank you for a great year I had at the forum (I signed on the 20th of March according to my first thread). I'll be posting whenever I'll be home, but I'm not sure how often that would be. Might be once in few weeks.
A little about where I'm going... Well, I'm going to combat engineering. I still don't know what platoon and what will be my part but the possible parts are mining buildings/bridges, building bridges, driving a Puma (http://www.defense-update.com/products/p/puma.htm), recovering mines, driving a D9 (http://www.israeli-weapons.com/weapons/vehicles/engineer_vehicles/bulldozers/D9_D10.html) and many more... I hope to get either to mining structures or building bridges... The basic training is 4 month long and is held in the combat engineering school near Eilat (which is about 300km or 6 hours of buses away from my home). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v142/masyauefa/israel-sat.jpg# After the basic training I'll be officialy a combat engineer and will go to advanced training for 4 months more. After that, depending on my speciality I'll be sent to fight (if there will still be where to fight) either in Gaza or in one of the west bank cities. The whole service is 3 years long, but I don't have any clue of what I will be doing farther then year from now...
So that's it. If you have any questions I'm still here to answer. And again, this forum is the greatest! Cheers! |

| Goodluck!
Im a military fanatic. As a matter of fact I loved games like OFP, BiA, COD, and much much more. I also watch the Military Channel mostly everynight even though I rarely watch tv. Please tell me all about your great adventures. |

| I wish you my warmest luck, and best wishes, you and I have never got along amazingly through our taunts and bouts on this forum, but I will miss your love for movies.
I know that you will do well in whatever you specialize in. Hope everything works out okay for you. Take care, and hope to see you around, when your on holidays and whatnot. |
| | | | 3 years ain't so bad, I'll bet Duke Nukem Forever will not be out by the time you finish your army service. |
| | | | Bah, now PVC is gonna have one less troubleshoota for the Technical Questions & Help folder. Then again, I'm sure they'll have a PC that you could use once in a while. ;) |
| | | | That Puma is f***ing badass. Army engineers get WAY cooler toys than civilian engineers. |
| | | | Best of luck to ya man. Take care of yourself, and please try not to get blown to bits. Do us proud. ;) |

Will you be driving that or will you be the one walking on the side?
Well, good luck. No doubt you will work hard and prosper, I look forward to hearing about your adventure.
Try not to get killed, walking next to that giant bulldozer looks dangerous:) |
| | | I salute "The Elite of Humanity," and wish him luck.
May the army make you even more Elite.
Look at the bright side, women are crazy over men in uniform. |
