| | | | Steve, do you have the numbers for Project Gotham Racing-2 ?? I can't believe it isn't in the top-20, or that the original PGR outsold the incredibly better PGR-2.. |
| | | PGR2 - 645,000
I predict PGR3 US sales to be higher than PGR2 but lower than PGR1. |
| | | Interesting that PGR2 sold less, that's really surprising! Any ideas why? PGR was so good, and PGR2 is defo more popular over here in the UK (with gamers that is).
And I don't suppose you have the top 20 GC games with figures do you? |

| There could be a number of reasons: release time, competition, and users not yet needing another racer in the same series. Still, 645K is not bad for PGR2.
I can think of just one instance in the current generation where a racer in the same series outsold the previous entry on the same console. Need for Speed Underground 2 on Xbox outsold the first Underground on Xbox. And Underground 2 released when Xbox was really gaining tons of popularity in late 2004. |

| | How the hell does Halo 2 sell 4 million and get classed as a massive success, but when Wind Waker sells 3 million it gets virtually ignored? Jesus Christ, I was expecting it to at least outsell Goldeneye with the amount of buzz it got. |
| | | You're comparing Zelda worldwide to Halo 2 in the U.S. alone.
U.S. Sales (Through May 2005) Halo 2 - 4,660,000 Zelda: Wind Waker - 1,895,000
U.S. Sales (Through September 2005) Halo 2 - 4,800,000 Zelda: Wind Waker - 1,985,000
Halo 2 passed 7 million sales worldwide a few months ago. |
