| Why i came up with this thread? If Halo is going to be turned into a movie, there should also be a half life movie(you guys know i hate Halo.)
But i question myself if:
1)Gordon Freeman speaks 2)Who the hell is good enoogh to play him? 3)Of course the rest of the cast.
Really, i can image if Morgan Freeman plays Eli, and Uma Thurman plays Alyx, but really i dont have a clue for Gordon Freeman. Perhaps, that role may need a new actor who might just look like him. Otherwise place Tom Cruise to play Gordon ughh.
What would you guys say? I have a feeling that it will be anounce that there will be a half-life movie as soon after part 3. Thats probably going to be the button to true success (although part 1 and 2 already has done it).
Can anyone discuss about this?
PS: Look at my Avatar and decide who's got a similar face with an actor. |

| | There should not be a HL movie. HL2 is a great game because it was so "real". There would be nothing gained from making it into real life movie. It would only tarnish the name of one of the greatest games ever made. |

| | Gordon Freeman was never ever an interesting character, and the game plot doesn't scream originality. |

| | Theres no material to use for a movie, the game lacks a public grasping plot. They would have to make another story for the movie. |
|
| | Before part 2 came out, people were doubting that the game wont be good as part 1. But how wrong those people were. After part 2, my views on Valve is now 'quality FPS'. Valve spend so much time on half-life, making sure that it meets the needs, so we can enjoy the game. If only it can be possible for a movie. I would not mind if Valve do the script and story. Also, i dont mind if the movie copies part 1. I will still enjoy it!
PS: I have seen a fan's video on half-life copying the same story from the game, and even the voices from the game (which means Gordon Freeman does not speak either in this one). But i was very impressed, and i reckon it will do well. |

| | | I hope so it would be a movie to put in the collection next to HL2 in the shelf "things that changed my life"! |

| | HL2 is just another bland FPS nothinbg special about it i enjoyed halo 1 way more, the reason halo is getting a movie is because halo 2 sold 2.5m in the us and canada its first day, did half life 2 even sell 2.5m?, and theres much more story ideas with halo and basically nothing u can put into a movie with HL |

| | Half Life 2 did not take off so well as it was released a year early. It was very hard to play the graphics on your PC. Graphic cards of today easily play HL 2 without any lag or bad loading times.
Also, like 'PC Zone' say: "half-life 2 is the best FPS ever, indeed, it may well be the best action game ever, full stop." -97%
PC Gamer: "the most intense and exhilerating conflict ever undertaken in a video game" -96% |

| | | Indeed its a good game but I wish they had put more and better andrenaline pumping "fight" music to get the the blood to pump around! |
|
| | Yep, there was a point in the game where the music was really good. But the problem with HL2 music is that it mostly was too short. Even a loop could have satisfied me. However, those needs would be perfected if there was a movie... |
