| Let's get a collection of Sony and Sony Zombie lies and propoganda, and compare it with reality.

Propoganda: Xbox is too big! Big stupid American design! Offensive to Japanese and other stylish people!
Reality: PS3 is bigger than the original Xbox.
Damage Control: PS3 is big because it has mad powar! Supercomputer in a box! |

| Propoganda: Revolution have stupid gimmick controller! Motion sensing is stupid kiddy gimmick! I don't wanna move my arms around!
Reality: Sony copies motion sensing abilites (badly) and sticks them in PS3.
Damage Control: Wow! Aersome controller design! Now with motion sensing, you can move your arm around for better game! WOW! "Sony's Phil Harrison even went so far as to tell us that "rumble was last generation, movement is this generation."

| | It's really funny that Sony Zombies are coming out of the woodwork all over IGN, Gamespot, and several other sites trying to defend the PS3. The damage control is unbelievable, but it's already too late. The TITANIC-PS3 has taken on too much water and is sinking faster than Bush's approval ratings.
It's just blind fanboyism that drives them. One person even went as far as to say that Sony never lies. Obviously he didn't pay attention to last year's E3. |
|
| | | Whilst their new (haha) PS3 controller is an improvement over the old one, why are they still living in the past? Theyre keeping the D-pad as the primary control method. Also, I noticed a rather nice ripoff of the guide button. |

| Propoganda: Phil Harrison has criticised Microsoft for planning to put two versions of the new Xbox 360 console on the market, claiming the decision will merely "create confusion" for consumers. ... "Are there two versions of the Xbox 360 that people want to buy, is my question," he continued. "I don't know." ... "I think it just confuses the audience. They don't know which one to buy, developers don't know which one to create for, and retailers don't know which one to stock."
"So I think we wouldn't take that strategy. We wouldn't create confusion," he concluded.

Reality: PS3 will have two versions, and the basic system can't be upgraded to full.
Damage Control: Itz so awsum! SONY give cansumer teh choise! |

| Propaganda: Ken Kutaragi on the size of the PS3 hard-drive: "no matter how much [capacity] we put in it, it won't be enough."
Reality: Hey, if 20GB is good enough for the 360, it's good enough for our customers at a 100 dollar premium. Hey, and for ANOTHER 100 dollars...
Damage control: Errr...ummm.... |
|
| | PS3 is ridiculously large, ugly as hell and may indeed for that reason be unappealing in Japan. That doesn't mean Xbox wasn't too big, ugly as hell, and not appealing to the Japanese market.
Propaganda: Dual HDMI! Ueber-aweXom3!!!
Reality: Only one HDMI in the ueber-premium pack. |
|
| | Propaganda: We want people to work extra hard to have the PS3.
Reality: Sadly, the only thing that's true. 500 for a crippled system, 600 for the full one???
I never realized that the basic one CAN'T be upgraded to the full one. Stupid. That's the only thing I can really say.
And it's sad how they just added that tilt control at the last second as an attempt to be innovative. They'll have only one game that will use it so far. Developers are just going to ignore this feature as something "cool and extra". |
