| PlayStation Paradise / PS3 Boring, Gamespot Editor Walks Out |

| Toward the end of the PS3 debut Marathon where they played a bunch of PS3 games the editor or reviewer stood up and walked out. The others in the room tried to stop him but he loudly declared that he was tired and had a lot of GOW testing to do. Clearly PS3 was boring him and he had to get on to more important work.
And what I saw looked totally Xbox 1 like to me. I could see jitter and frame rate hiccup type issues. Then again I wasn't able to watch at the highest resolutions. But I did notice that the washed out brownage effect was present in more than one game. Is there something about brown that makes things easier on the hardware? |

| | It's not that surprising. My biggest issue with the PS3 isn't necessarily the obscene price tag or disappointing hardware. It's more that none of the games look even remotely interesting, and it really has jack shit in terms of exclusive games. Really, what incentive does someone have to get a PS3 instead of an Xbox 360 or a gaming PC? Obviously the Gamespot editor couldn't hide his boredom. |

And I am pretty much of the opinion that he PS3 is at the low end of the PC range at it introduction.
But more importantly, after looking at the new Nvidia G80 features including stuff like OpenEXR I think we are seeing stuff now in the very high end PC that even PS4 (if it ever gets made) 5 years from now won't be able to handle. Which says to me that PS4 would be at the low low end of PC performance at its introduction. Its kind of like if you are willing to spend it today you can have PS4 at PS3's introduction by just going with a high end PC. I see consoles following in Wii's footsteps from here on out. |

| Can you blame the guy? Seeing all the HD videos and screenshots from sites like Gametrailer.com, IGN Insider, and many other places, the PS3 is not looking all that good.
As mentioned in other threads, the games are of no particular interest, and with the exception of 3, you can play all its "launch window" game on every other system -- sans the 1080p. Oh wait, what 1080p? |

| Just wondering: were you actually at this event? If so, in what capacity?
Do you have a link to information about this happening?
I would just like to know how solid the information is before I talk to anybody else about it. |

| | From what i seen on Gamespot they loved the PS3. Resistance blowed away GOW by the reacation of the gamespot workers. |
