| I think I'll be getting a CPU upgrade in January.

| | Q9450 looks like the way to go. I may just pick one of those up to replace my E6600. |
|
| | I also like the E8400.
AMD is dropping prices again. The 5000+ should < $100. As we begin a new quarter and prepare for the busiest time of the year, selected AMD dual-core desktop processors will have a reduction in suggested prices effective next Monday, October 8.
This will be a great opportunity to upgrade customers to dual-core, as the AMD Athlon™ X2 5000+, 5200+, 5600+, 6000+ and 6400+ processors all will feature new pricing. Please contact your authorized AMD distributor for specific pricing and availability details.

| If AMD doesn't launch a decently clocked Phenom X4 soon every AMD desktop CPU will end up <$100 :\
Good prices though, dual core for everyone. |

| Oh my. A 3.0GHz X9650 going to 4.6GHz on air. Impressive. With unconventional cooling the X9650 has gotten to 5.56 GHz and the X9770 has gone from 3.2GHz to 5.8GHz. I think AMD is going to loose another round unless they have something fricken amazing or cheap.
